Scope of Work

Our focus is on evaluating key security elements of the Solana Program associated with your SPL token. Specifically, we examine whether critical authorities have been appropriately revoked and assess the token’s metadata for mutability.

Authority Review:

  • We ensure that the Minting and Freeze Authority has been revoked. If these authorities remain active, there is a high security risk, as they allow further minting or freezing of tokens.
  • We also check whether the Update Authority has been revoked. If not, this represents a low security risk, but it could still allow modifications to the token metadata.

Metadata Mutability:

  • We verify if the token metadata is still set to isMutable = true. If so, this could permit future changes to the metadata, which poses a potential security concern.

This audit is conducted based on real-time program data on the Solana blockchain, without the need for files or external submissions. The findings focus solely on the claims related to authority revocation and metadata mutability, ensuring the token complies with industry best practices for security and immutability.

Final Words

The following provides a concise summary of the audit report, accompanied by insightful comments from the auditor. This overview captures the key findings and observations, offering valuable context and clarity.

What is a Token-2022 Program?

A Token-2022 Program is an advanced version of the standard SPL (Solana Program Library) token program on the Solana blockchain. It offers additional features and flexibility to better meet the specific needs of projects. Unlike SPL Tokens, the Token-2022 Program allows the integration of extensions that provide extra functionalities such as transfer fees, metadata management, and more.

Ownership Privileges

There are no Ownership Privileges. This ensures that the Minting Authority and Freeze Authority have been revoked. The Update Authority remains active.

Transfer Fee Configuration and Adjustability

The Token-2022 Program utilizes Transfer Fee Extensions, allowing the imposition of fees on each token transfer. The current configuration is as follows:

Fee Rate: 1%
A fee of 1% is deducted from each token transfer.
Maximum Fee: 7,770,000,000,000,000 Lamports (0.00777 SOL)
Regardless of the transferred amount, the fee per transaction cannot exceed this maximum limit.

Adjustability

The Transfer Fee Authority (8gMi2jZtoniodkiAqNF3a1sQeSpLWJAyi5UBYVaePthV) retains the ability to configure and adjust transfer fees as needed. The established maximum fee of 7,770,000,000,000,000 Lamports serves as a safety cap to prevent fees from exceeding this threshold, even if the fee rate theoretically allows for higher charges.

Audit Report Summary

Note: This audit report consists of a security analysis of the Token-2022 program. It did not include functional testing (or unit testing) of the token’s logic. Additionally, only one token contract associated with this project was audited. Other contracts related to this project were not reviewed by our team. We recommend that investors conduct their own research before engaging with the token.

Description

The Transfer Fee Configuration Authority remains active, which allows the authority to adjust or modify the transfer fee parameters, including the fee rate and maximum fee cap. This introduces a potential risk, as the transfer fee can be increased or otherwise altered at any time, impacting token holders and the token's utility.
